Installation is a Breeze

Now you can confidently build the graceful lines and spacious feel that arches impart to your home designs. Follow these simple steps to install arches from Custom-Arch.

Step 1

Measure the exact width of the opening.

Step 2

Measure down from the header and mark the rise (+1") on each stud. Most arches are ordered pre-cut to width. If you have ordered pre-cut arches, skip down down to Step 5.

Step 3

Measure across from the pre-cut end and mark the outside of the arch for finish cutting.

Step 4

Miter cut the arch end to fit snugly against the studs in the opening.

Step 5

Press the arch into the opening so its ends are an equal distance from the rise mark on each stud.

Step 6

Nail (or screw) the arch securely into each stud and the header.
